Variable products
WooCommerce variations become Shopify variants. Attributes beyond Shopify’s option limits are split or moved to metafields before import, not truncated.
Most WooCommerce stores we meet run on a stack of plugins, a hosting plan and a theme nobody wants to update. Moving to Shopify removes the server and security work, but only pays off if products, customers, history and URLs arrive intact.
Export products with their variations, customers and orders from WooCommerce, map each field to Shopify’s product, variant and metafield model, import to a development store, rebuild plugin features with apps or custom code, then launch with a 301 redirect from every /product/ and /product-category/ URL to its new Shopify address.

ACF and product meta map to Shopify metafields, so specs, care notes and size guides keep rendering in the new theme.
Past orders import as archived orders against the right customer, so lifetime value and reorder history survive.
Product reviews export and re-import into a Shopify reviews app with their dates and ratings intact.

Each legacy pattern gets a 301 redirect to its Shopify equivalent, tested before the domain moves.

They should, if every indexed URL is redirected. We crawl the WooCommerce site, build a redirect for every product, category, page and post, carry meta titles and descriptions across, and monitor Search Console for 404s after launch.
No — WordPress password hashes cannot be imported into Shopify. Customer records, addresses and order history move; customers set a new password through an activation email we send at launch.
Each plugin is listed during the audit with its Shopify equivalent: a native feature, a Shopify app, or a small custom app. Many disappear because Shopify covers them natively, such as security, caching and basic SEO.
Often, once hosting, security, plugin licences and developer time for updates are counted. Shopify has a monthly plan fee and app fees, but no server to maintain. We compare your actual running costs during the audit.
